Michal Šmída is the founder and CEO of Twisto Fintech and a member of Forbes 30 under 30, who lived in Russia, the UK and the USA for 11 years.
He started his career in London, where after completing his studies at the prestigious King’s College, he joined Barclays Capital. He spent a total of 11 years abroad and when he returned to the Czech Republic in 2013, he founded Twisto – the first domestic service for immediate purchase of goods on the Internet with the possibility of deferred payment. With a team of more than 120 members and investors like ING, UNIQA, ENERN, and ZIP, Twisto has won a number of major awards in the Czech Republic and abroad. In addition to his previous three-year experience from Barclays Capital, Michal Šmída brings to Twisto know-how from Erste Bank and the ENERN investment group.
